Summer food event planned by Brakes
Hospitality businesses will be receiving expert advice from Brakes this summer after the wholesaler unveiled its Virtual Food Event.
Launching on 7 June and ending on 31 July, the event will include a host of new features, support and practical advice, designed to help caterers make the most of summer and plan for the rest of the year.
The event is open to all hospitality businesses – not just Brakes customers – and will form a key part of Brakes’ Help for Hospitality campaign.
Among the hot topics being discussed are Natasha’s Law, ways to reduce food waste, key trends for 2020 and food-and-wine pairing – as well as menu inspiration and market insight.
There will also be 40 virtual stands as part of the new Brakes Event Village, with each containing helpful information, downloads and info on more than 900 products.
The event also represents the first opportunity to see Brakes’ latest innovation, Virtual Chef Online, a ground-breaking suite of recipe and menu management tools that allows foodservice operators to optimise every aspect of their recipe development process including nutrition, allergens, costs per serving/per batch and will automatically calculate the RRP for a dish based on the desired profit margin and tax rate.
“The reaction to our first two Virtual Food Events has been phenomenal and many of the new features that appear in this latest one are inspired by comments and feedback from visitors to those,” said Leon French, Brakes’ Customer Marketing Director.
The event and webinars will be accessible via smartphone, tablet and desktop, with existing Brakes customers receiving an email to register. Non-customers can sign up for free on the Brakes Virtual Event website.
