A List Brands and Interstoq join Sugro
Two wholesalers have signed up to become the latest new buying group members at Sugro.
A List Brands and Interstoq have joined the Nantwich-based group as part of its growth strategy spearheaded by Head of Business Development, Tabitha Hunter-Smale.
A List Brands, which is based in Manchester, boasts a wide customer base of independent clearance and discount stores, and smaller wholesalers and cash & carries.
The wholesaler is established in the field of toiletries and pet food but have joined Sugro UK to lean on their expertise within grocery and impulse categories.
Interstoq, which has depots in Oldham and Essex, provide a wide range of confectionery, crisps and snacks, soft drinks and alcohol to their wholesale and retail customers, and are keen to benefit from the numerous initiatives and benefits Sugro have to offer.
And Interstoq Director Gordon McCarty says they didn’t take the decision easily.
“Having spoken with three buying groups, we found Sugro to be the most responsive, professional and proactive,” he said.
“The head office team really took the time to learn about our business, and we were looking for the longevity that Sugro promised.
“As we work towards a more strategic approach to our customer base, we feel Sugro are best placed in terms of offering that extra level of support, and we anticipate a long-standing relationship with them.”
The new acquisitions are the latest new members to come through the door, which is a source of pride for the business.
“We’re delighted to welcome two new members to the Sugro family,” added Hunter-Smale.
“As a group, we constantly strive to offer our wholesale members the very best in support and guidance, and we are confident we can add value to these wholesale companies collectively.”
