New member hat trick for buying group
UK member-owned buying and marketing group Sugro UK has bolstered its membership with the addition of three new members in recent weeks
The new members are EXPO Foods (Midlands), Chesterton Food Supplies and MS Foods.
EXPO Foods (Midlands) has depots in Doncaster and London, offering ethnic impulse, ambient grocery, alcohol, dairy products as well as fruits, vegetables, processed meat and fish. Director Gokhan Koseoglu said: “We joined Sugro for directly contacting suppliers, to find out best deals with the support of Sugro’s buying team. We are also planning to extend our product range. l believe Sugro’s extensive supplier base and members network will help us achieve our growth targets.”
Chesterton Food Supplies have been successfully supplying fast food products in the London area since 2000 to more than 350 fast food outlets. It offers frozen, chilled and ambient ingredients, soft drinks and non-food packaging and products. Basharat Khan, Director, describes the move as ‘game changing’ for the wholesale business: “By joining Sugro, we have gained access to a reputable and reliable network that offers various benefits. One of the most significant advantages has been an enhanced level of security in our transactions.”
MS Foods offer both food and non-food categories alongside competitive prices and recognised customer service. Director Qasim Saleem said: “We are delighted to join Sugro, this gives us the opportunity to access a pool of new suppliers aligning to our strategy of diversification and competitiveness.”
