Issue 2409 of Wholesale News is out now!
Supporting and nurturing talent remains a key priority for FWD and the wider sector, and this is something we should be shouting about and celebrating.
While many talk about encouraging diversity and inclusion in the wholesale channel, it is crystal clear that FWD not only talks the talk but also walks the walk, with initiatives such as Diversity in Wholesale, Women in Wholesale and its Future Leaders Forum.
In this issue you can read all about the latest Diversity in Wholesale conference (pages 32-33). With powerful presentations and insightful workshops, the day demonstrated the very real need for events like this to happen. And how lucky we are that we’re in a sector where this is not only actively encouraged but fully embraced.
FWD isn’t alone in this, of course. There are countless wholesalers and suppliers committed to identifying talent and supporting their rise through the ranks, and this can be evidenced in the staggering number of entries for individual Gold Medal awards – check out page 34 for the shortlist.
Championing the work that is happening across the channel not only shines a light on the fantastic activities but also inspires others to do the same, so please do get in touch and share some of your achievements and together we can continue to drive the D&I agenda forward.
In the pages of this issue, you can also read our catch-up with Cheryl Hope and Victoria Lockie where we find out how Unitas Wholesale is truly embracing its ‘stronger together’ conference theme; find the latest trends for Christmas trading; get the lowdown on Ordertools and why its a game-changer for foodservice wholesalers; find out whether you’re getting the most from Chocomel; and much, much more.
