Soho deal hot stuff for Blakemore

Lucrative three-year deal a big boost for foodservice wholesaler

Blakemore Foodservice is celebrating the perfect start to the new year after striking a tasty deal with Soho Coffee Co.

The contract, which is worth £2.5 million per annum in additional sales and spans three years, will see the foodservice wholesaler supply the food-led coffee chain across its 41 shops in UK and Ireland and seven international sites.

The popular independent brand’s portfolio includes both company-owned and franchise stores. All company-owned stores in the UK are serviced via a central production kitchen in Cheltenham, which Blakemore Foodservice will be delivering to six days a week.

“We’re delighted to be supplying and working with Soho Coffee Co. Both of our companies have the same overarching values guiding how we work and we see this as a perfect partnership,” said Blakemore Foodservice Sales Director Nick Rose.

We’re looking to grow into new sectors of the foodservice market, and coffee shops is one of those areas. There will also be synergies and learnings we can share with A.F. Blakemore’s Philpotts prepared-food stores, which are serviced by Blakemore Foodservice too.”

In order to service the contract, Blakemore has introduced approximately 300 new product lines and will be service from the wholesaler’s sites in Wednesday and Wakefield.
