Pentagon adds new dimension to Sugro

A foodservice wholesaler has become Sugro’s newest member after agreeing a deal to join the buying group.

Pentagon Food Group supplies more than 800 restaurants, takeaways and fast-food outlets across the UK from its base in Stoke-on-Trent.

Pentagon Food Group is part of Khan Group of Companies and has a strong distribution and delivered offerings, but also operates two traditional cash and carry operations as part of its Freshways arms.

“We’re delighted to be able to grow the Sugro family, even during these challenging and unprecedented times, and we’re thrilled to welcome Pentagon Food to the group,” said Sugro Head of Trading and Marketing, Yulia Goodwin.

The union seems to be a perfect match for both Sugro and Pentagon Food Group, with each business aiming big in the future.

Sugro’s announcement comes hot on the heels of the launch of its new mobile-ordering app, which went live in March.
