Edward Bentley joins Scottish wholesaler to rev up key impulse categories

Glasgow-based wholesaler JW Filshill has appointed Edward Bentley (pictured above) to handle its key impulse category – soft drinks, crisps and snacks.

Bentley joins the team with prior significant knowledge of the company having worked with Filshill as a customer of the company where he previously worked for nearly a decade, SHS Sales and Marketing.

Bentley said of his appointment: “This is an exciting time to be joining such a forward-thinking business and I relish the challenge of building on the strong foundations already in place as well as forging new relationships with suppliers.”

Reporting into category manager Derek Cowan and based in Glasgow, Bentley’s experience will ensure he is an asset to the team and he is already settling in well to his new position, leading to Group Commercial Director Chris Miller singing his praises.

“I’m delighted that Edward is joining the Filshill family at a time when our business is growing across Scotland and the north of England,” said Miller.

“Edward is an experienced operator who understands the importance of working in partnership with suppliers for mutual benefit and will be an asset to the Filshill team.”
