A new appointment for Nantwich-based wholesaler

Wholesaler Sugro UK has bolstered its team with the appointment of Raj Krishan as its new head of business development.

Joining the team from AF Blakemore, Krishan will be developing and delivering Sugro’s strategic initiatives for sales and business improvements, as the wholesaler continues its transformation since Managing Director Neil Turton took the top job last year.

Krishan has a wide range of experience across the industry and previously played a significant role in transforming the Wholesale Distribution division at AF Blakemore, and held several senior posts at Landmark, Todays and Nisa prior to that.

“Raj is an experienced wholesale expert who very much fits the business growth strategy that is of growing wholesale and contracts business, in addition to increasing membership,” said Turton.

Krishan’s appointment is the latest in a string of new starters who have followed Turton through the door at Sugro, with Head of Trading Yulia Goodwin and Marketing Coordinator Shruti Senapati also taking up roles towards the end of 2018.

Raj said of his appointment: “I’m excited to be joining and contributing to the growth of Sugro UK. I’m looking forward to working with the team and members to develop the many opportunities in these fast paced and changing times of wholesale.”
