Four new starters join Caterforce team
Appointments include experienced buying duo to aid company growth
A flurry of new faces have joined Caterforce as the foodservice buying group shapes for a new start in 2020.
Experienced duo Peter Saunders and Matthew Leyland (pictured above) have joined the business as senior buyers, while Clare Greensmith has joined as financial controller and Hayley Bowker as an assistant buyer.
The quartet arrive at a transitional time for the Macclesfield-based group, with outgoing Managing Director Nick Redford handing over the reins at the end of 2019.
Saunders and Leyland bring extensive experience to Caterforce, having worked in foodservice for a combined 40 years – Saunders arriving from Unitas and Leyland joining after 15 years with The Co-operative Group and Morrisons.
“I’m extremely happy to welcome Peter and Matthew to Caterforce,” said Interim Managing Director, Gary Mullineux.
“To be able to attract two individuals with their level of experience is testament to the work we’re doing. Our members will benefit significantly from their expertise and we look forward to working with them.”
The new appointments will work with key stakeholders to bring Caterforce’s buying plan to life for its wholesale members.
The pair will also be implementing and developing category plans to support member growth, and will play – alongside Greensmith and Bowker – an important role as the business continues to grow.
“At Caterforce, we’re passionate about investing in people and this is an extremely exciting time for the business,” Mullineux added.
“The additions of Peter, Matthew, Clare and Hayley will only strengthen our already outstanding team. We want to continue to build on our recent successes and I have no doubt these new hires will help us achieve that.”
