Brakes agree deal with wine expert

There’s now a wider variety of drinks on offer from Brakes following a new agreement with a premium wine and spirits distributor.

The foodservice wholesaler has struck a deal with Bibendum to bolster its range of wines from across the globe to nearly 100 – providing a much wider choice of quality bottles for customers.

Working with Bibendum is a real feather in the cap for Brakes, with the award-winning distributor working with the world’s most talented and respected wine producers with products that can be found in several Michelin-starred restaurants.

In addition to this, Bibendum will also be offering advice to Brakes’ customers on creating wine lists, as well as sharing market insights, merchandising tips and staff training.

Alongside the Bibendum deal, Brakes has also expanded its sprits, beers, ciders, soft drinks and mixers range to include favourite gins, vodkas and tonic waters to keep up with the latest on-trade trends.

Lemons and limes, bar snacks and catering supplies have also been added to the range for 2020, so customers can also get their hands on the garnishes they need too.

Boosting ranges in this way will only strengthen Brakes’ position at the helm of the industry, having won a series of awards in food, service and the environment, including 12 gongs at the Q Awards in November.
