Sugro’s mobile-ordering app launches
Full Sugro members will now be able to get their hands on a free online-ordering app.
The buying group has rolled out its first foray into mobile ordering after teaming up with RNF to create a platform for customers to buy products remotely.
Powered by RNF’s Beam Commerce, wholesalers will have access to a series of in-app functions to enhance customer engagement, including in-app advertising and the chance to customise their app with personal branding.
The app allows retailers to browse the product catalogue and add products to basket on the go, scan products using barcode and pay online.
“Amid the current situation wholesalers are dealing with, it’s imperative our members remain at the forefront of the move towards digital ordering,” said Sugro Head of Trading and Marketing, Yulia Goodwin.
“We’re committed to ensuring our members have access to all necessary tools and technology that will allow them to continue servicing their customers in these unprecedented times.
“We have invested in the bespoke Sugro member app model that allows members to create their own tailor-made platform and customise it.
“The platform will give members an opportunity to provide best customer service and experience via app online-ordering facility and effective personalised marketing capabilities, such as product advertising and push notifications.
“It’s good to see members are being very supportive of the initiative with the app engagement level being really high among the group.”
The Sugro app launch has been in the pipeline for several months, although RNF offers a range of options, including one for foodservice wholesalers to take up a free mobile-ordering app of their own.
