Click and collect launched at Blakemore

Blakemore Foodservice has become the latest foodservice wholesaler to offer click and collect to consumers.

The Country Range Group member launched the service from is Darlaston depot in the West Midlands on 15 April in an attempt to make up for some of the sales lost by restrictions placed on the nation’s catering outlets.

The available range includes more than 200 product lines that are perfect for families, with cupboard essentials, chilled and frozen food, as well as fresh meat and produce boxes.

As part of this, a website has been launched for product browsing and placing orders, with next-day delivery available six days a week.

Customers can select a one-hour slot for delivery and don’t have to leave their car upon arrival, with orders loaded in by staff to maintain social distancing.

“At this difficult time, many people are facing challenges buying essential groceries,” said Head of Blakemore Foodservice, Caoire Blakemore.

“Our next-day click & collect service provides a quick and easy alternative to supermarket queues and waiting weeks for online deliveries.

“Customers don’t even have to leave their cars – we’ll load their goods for them.”

Blakemore Foodservice follows in the footsteps of many foodservice wholesalers to have turned to offering consumer services.
