Wholesale and Covid-19: Bringing foodservice back
As the nation starts to get back on its feet following the Covid-19 pandemic, FWD asked a group of wholesalers and suppliers how they expected the foodservice sector would be brought back to life.
The session, which was the latest in a series of member-only events FWD is holding during the pandemic, included input from Bidfood Chief Executive Andrew Selley and Harvest Fine Foods Managing Director Richard Strongman.
The pair explained how they’re managing the crisis currently and the steps they’re taking to help customers as the new normal takes shape.
Selley and Strongman were flanked by Upfield’s Head of Out of Home Marketing, Alan Black, and Britvic’s GB Wholesale Director Ian Patefield, who discussed the role suppliers are playing as foodservice re-emerges, and HIM Managing Director Jill Livesey, who spoke about what research is telling us. You can listen to the session’s best soundbites below.
FWD is hosting a series of online events to keep members informed and to provide advice during the coronavirus crisis, so keep an eye out on Wholesale News for more.
