Four new wholesalers join Sugro
A quartet of new members have joined Sugro as the buying group continues to grow despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Cheshire-based group has welcomed Connective Pharma, FMCG Trading, Sun Exotic Wholesale and Metropharm to their ranks in a signing spree that bolsters their ranks.
Sugro’s performance throughout the coronavirus crisis has been encouraging, with the four new members adding more than £24 million to the group’s existing turnover.
“New member acquisition continues to be a key focus for the business development team and allows us to strengthen our offering to both new and existing Sugro members,” said Business Development Manager Tabitha Hunter-Smale.
“Our focus has and always will be individual member-centric, utilising our experienced in-house team to provide the very best in sales, IT, design, and marketing support.
“We are excited to expand our membership in these uncertain times and delighted that independent wholesalers looking for growth and support, continue to choose to partner with Sugro UK.”
It has been a busy few months for Sugro, with a string of new members joining earlier in the year, the launch of the group’s first virtual conference and the announcement that Neil Turton is staying on as managing director.
That positivity extends to the new members, with Sun Exotic Wholesale’s spokesperson glowing at the prospect of joining the group – and they’re predicting significant growth.
“We are proud and excited to join Sugro,” they said. “Their buying power and expertise in the market will enable us to be in a better position by offering our customers not only the best possible pricing, but also access to a wider range of products from market leaders.
“Therefore, we are expecting to triple our turnover with them.”
