Bidfood join Hospitality Action to release charity single
Bidfood teamed up with members of the hospitality industry to channel its inner Miley Cyrus to record a Christmas charity single to raise money for the sector.
Released on 7 December, the track – a cover of Miley Cyrus’s The Climb – aims to raise awareness of the problems facing hospitality during the continuing Covid crisis, while also gathering vital funds for the industry.
Made in collaboration with Bidfood and Hospitality Action, the single was produced by Ivor Novello award winner Troy Miller and features customers, employees and industry legends under the name Our Hospitality Voices.
“We’re delighted to be working with Hospitality Action to raise money and awareness for our industry during such challenging times,” said Bidfood’s Director of Corporate Sales and Marketing Tim Adams.
“This has been an incredibly difficult year and we wanted to launch a campaign that would spread some light-heartedness and positivity whilst doing our best to support those who need it most.
“I’d also like to say a massive thank you to those who took part in this, taking time out of their day to be involved means a great deal to us. We really hope people will get behind this campaign, download the single and who knows, we may even get in the Christmas charts.”
