Charity benefits from Unitas’s Picture Portal initiative
A youth group in Glasgow was the beneficiary of a new Unitas initiative that aims to do some good – both in depots and local communities.
Royston Youth Action was awarded £500 on behalf of Unitas member, United Wholesale Grocers, as part of a new compliance incentive scheme linked to the buying group’s Picture Portal tool.
Unitas has promised to reward one member each quarter with a donation to a charity of their choice – plus a £100 Amazon gift card for the winning depot’s Optimisation Champion – to highlight the importance of Picture Portal, which captures real-time examples of promotional execution and activation to share best practice.
The images taken in depots are shared with Unitas’s suppliers on a regular basis to demonstrate effective off-the-shelf displays, with United Wholesale Grocers winning the first prize thanks to the consistently high-quality images of the Unitas Mega Deal Plus promotions.
The money donated to Royston Youth Action will go towards putting on the charity’s 20 weekly clubs aimed at supporting children and young people in the region.
The cheque was donated virtually by Unitas Sales & Marketing Director John Kinney. He said: “It’s fantastic we’re able to make this charity donation on behalf of our member United Grocers as a reward for the excellent support they have demonstrated in promotional execution in the depot.”
