Bestway’s Sheikh named in Lawyer’s Hot 100

Bestway’s Legal Counsel and Company Secretary Rabiah Younus Sheikh has been named on the Lawyer’s Hot 100 for 2021.

Sheikh was recognised among the list that identifies the most daring, innovative and creative lawyers from in-house, private practice and The Bar – gathering together the sector’s top employees from hundreds of nominations.

“We are elated for Rabiah as this is such an amazing achievement especially given how competitive it is to even be shortlisted, let alone chosen, in the Hot 100,” says Chief Operating Officer Naser Khan.

“Rabiah is ‘setting the bar high’ – excuse the pun – and is an extremely impressive role model for other young lawyers. We’re especially very proud to have her as part of the Bestway team.”

Sheikh, who is the sister of former head of marketing and digital Salih, joined Bestway in 2016 and is responsible for leading legal affairs by driving strategic advice, internal governance and compliance.

In that time, Sheikh has advised on a variety of matters, including the refinancing of the UK Bestway Group, a restructure of the Bestway Group holding companies and the acquisition of assets from Palmer & Harvey.

She was delighted with the news and said, “I’m truly honoured to have been selected for the Hot 100 alongside all of the other well-deserving lawyers.”
