Ex-Landmark man Jon Burton takes retirement
Wholesale stalwart Jon Burton is taking retirement after more than 30 years working in the sector.
Burton has been working as a business development director at Confex for the past 16 months, having joined the buying group in 2019.
Best known for his time working for Landmark and Unitas, Burton is calling time on his career on 31 March.
Burton’s replacement will be Kirsty Winkel, another former Landmark employee who is looking forward to the new challenge.
“We wish Jon Burton well in his retirement and thank him for all his hard work at Confex over the last 16 months,” said Managing Director Tom Gittins.
“Jon has supported our members and suppliers impeccably and will be much missed by the head office team and his industry peers. We wish him the best of luck with his retirement and I personally look forward to playing a round or two of golf with him ongoing.
“Confex welcome Kirsty Winkel on 1 March, who brings her knowledge and experience of Buying Groups to Confex.
“I’m certain Kirsty will work well within a highly efficient head office team who remain focused on being a collaborative member led organisation.”
