New JJ Foodservice app to meet online demand
Busy caterers will soon be able to order more quickly and easily with JJ Foodservice.
That’s after the foodservice wholesaler launched a new shopping app to meet demand on its online e-commerce channels in the past year.
The new app offers easy access to JJ’s entire product range and means customers can amend their orders on the go throughout the day in a secure manner.
Additions to the app include offering users a view of their favourites and previous orders, adding to the convenience JJ offers them.
New swipeable banners at the top of the app means products can be searched quickly by category, while a predictive function will suggest personalised relevant product suggestions.
“Our customers are busy people, so we’ve invested in making online shopping even easier,” said Chief Technology Officer, Mick Dudley.
The new app comes on the back of increased demand, with JJ recording 85% of their orders being made online during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, compared to 70% during the same period in 2019.
That trend has extended to mobile too, with 49% of orders made using a mobile device in January 2021 versus 32% the previous year.
