Twelve new vehicles bolster Birchall Foodservice’s fleet
Birchall Foodservice has added seven new HGVs and five new box vans to its fleet.
The Burnley-based wholesaler has invested in its transport options on the back of recent sales successes.
While the new HGVs offer greater delivery flexibility to customers, the box vans are also a handy addition because they can be driven by any employee with a drivers’ licence – meaning emergency deliveries can be made at short notice.
The investment will help to support the Country Range Group member’s recent enhancement of its e-commerce channels, with the launch of its OrderMate platform.
The continued growth of the business is encouraging Birchall to recruit in its warehouse and IT departments, with Marketing Manager Joe Moulton happy to go on record to say how attractive the chance to work at the wholesaler is.
“I think Birchall Foodservice is a fantastic place to work and I doubt there’s anywhere else quite like it,” said Moulton.
“We get free fitness classes, access to a counsellor once a week, free fruit every day, as well as employee discounts and flexible working. The list goes on. I feel very lucky to work where I do, and I don’t see myself working anywhere else, ever.”
