Unitas lauds JW Filshill’s “great strategic move”

Unitas Wholesale has praised JW Filshill’s acquisition of Iain Hill Ltd

The Scottish wholesaler announced the deal earlier this week, taking over the neighbouring business as part of its extension plans that includes opening a new purpose-built facility later this year.

And Unitas has moved to congratulate its member on a “great strategic move” towards Filshill’s long-term ambitions.

“The acquisition of Iain Hill Ltd by Unitas member Filshill is a great strategic move by Filshill,” read a Unitas statement.

“This will fit well into Filshill and bring instant benefit to the existing Iain Hill Ltd customers. This move by Filshill demonstrates further their investment for the long-term future on the back of their significant investment in the forthcoming opening of their new purpose built distribution centre.

“We wish them well with their integration plans and look forward to seeing the Filshill business continue to grow in strength, and we are especially excited to see the opening of their new site in due course.”
