Q Catering appoints financial director Nick Jennings

The Sittingbourne-based foodservice wholesaler has made the appointment as part of the its growth plan

Following more than 18 years at Kent Frozen Foods (KFF), in his new role as financial director Nick Jennings joins Steve Clarke, Q Catering’s Managing Director, and his team during a period of growth.

Progressing from company accountant to finance director at KFF during the Covid-19 pandemic, Jennings was responsible for managing the business through unprecedented times and played a key role in transforming the business from an SME to a multi-scale corporation.

Joining Clarke on the journey targeting an increase in Q Catering’s annual turnover to £20 million by 2030, Jennings will lead on all company financials, including ensuring the smooth transition from Roger Snelling, the company’s previous owner. He will play a strategic part in heading up the company’s financial future, recognise opportunities of growth alongside the sales team, and initiate new systems throughout Q Catering’s expanding operations.

Nick Jennings, Financial Director at Q Catering, who began his new role on 5 September 2022, said: “I’m thrilled to have joined Q Catering and the ambitious team here. The company is going through a real period of growth so it’s an exciting time to be a part of it. I have known Steve for more than 18 years and worked very closely with him in my previous role. I followed his investment journey into Q Catering last year and we stayed in contact, so when the opportunity arose to join his team, I jumped at the chance.

Jennings continued: “I’ve been in the role for four weeks now and already see so much potential in the company. Steve and the team are brilliant and the route to success is very clear. … Q Catering already has a very strong foundation and I look forward to playing a part in this next crucial stage of development.”
