Women in Wholesale is helping women to laugh, learn and network at its Speed Mentoring event, taking place on 27th April at The Mermaid in London
Speakers will be covering a range of topics to boost business and personal skills against the theme ‘Celebrate Difference’ including how to eliminate bias and discrimination in the workplace, creating neurodiverse workforces and talks to turbo-charge negotiation and social skills, while combating imposter syndrome and anxiety.
Mentors include directors and senior managers from Brakes, Costco, SPAR, Mars, Budweiser, Confex and Mondelez.
Relocated to a new venue in the heart of east London, overlooking the Thames and London Eye, the full day mentoring event will feature for the first time a Laughter Workshop run by Laughter Ambassador and Laughter Yoga Master Trainer, Lotte Mikkelsen.
“We want to create a stunning environment in which people can learn, network and ultimately, feel happy,” said WiW Founder and Head of Communications at JJ Foodservice, Elit Rowland.
As well as meeting nine senior female leaders across the wholesale and retail channels – mentees will learn the science behind laughing, and how to do it more.
“Laughter Yoga involves prolonged periods of voluntary laughter and is believed to offer great physical and mental benefits. We can’t wait to give it a try,” said Elit.
