Celebration time at Parfetts
Employees across the Parfetts depot network celebrated EO Day, an event celebrating employee-owned businesses in the UK, on 23 June
One of the largest employee-owned companies in the UK, Parfetts has been employee owned since 2018 and to celebrate EO Day, staff at the wholesaler’s eight depots enjoyed music, pizza and fun, while Parfetts announced its sales growth bonus as 4%.
As well as having a say in the business, Parfetts’ staff enjoy a regular sales growth bonus paid in July and a profit share bonus paid in October. Staff also benefit from an extra day of paid holiday and colleagues can take additional unpaid holidays to a maximum allowance of 38 days for full-time staff.
“EO Day provides a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together and remind ourselves what makes Parfetts special,” said Guy Swindell, joint managing director, Parfetts. “Employee ownership gives us the freedom to go the extra mile for our customers and be kind to each other. Everyone in the business has a say in the future of Parfetts, and we believe that it sets us apart from competitors.”
In March, Parfetts announced an extraordinary pay rise of 7.5% for salaried staff to help them manage the rising cost of living, while weekly paid employees see an increase of 9.6% to hourly rates.
