Wholesaler ramps up ‘industry leading’ support for retail customers
Keen to enhance its offering to retail customers, Parfetts is boosting its team to better support retailers in its Go Local network
It has promoted Neil Bradley to general manager of the Middlesbrough depot. He has previously held supply manager positions at the Somercotes and Sheffield depots.
The fast-growing team of retail development advisers is supported by two new appointments, with Joe Tindle as national sales controller east and Steve Miller as national sales controller west. Joe brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held several positions across the business, most recently as the general manager of Middlesbrough depot. Steve has worked within the retail team for a number of years as a retail development advisor and, more recently, as a regional manager for the North West.
Steve Moore, head of retail at Parfetts, said: “We are welcoming new retailers to the Go Local network every week. As we expand, we must continue to provide our customers with industry-leading service levels, supporting them and ensuring their businesses grow by increasing sales and making more margin.
“We are continually investing in our team to meet the needs of over 1,200 fascia customers plus all the retail club and independent retailers we service. As an employee-owned business, we invest in our people, and Parfetts promotes people from within where possible to reward people for hard work and dedication to servicing our customers.”
Jimmy Smith has been promoted to supply chain manager at Somercotes depot, having previously been an RDA and, most recently, supply chain manager in Halifax. Additionally, Jordan Wadsworth has been promoted from chilled buyer to supply chain manager at Halifax.
Steve Moore added: “We have created the national sales controller roles to support the teams in the field and provide senior levels of knowledge and experience to all our customers. Joe and Steve will support and guide our fast-growing team of over 40 retail experts – including retail development advisors, merchandisers and store development teams. We see this as another enhancement to the industry-leading service we provide.”
