Introduction to Wholesale event
FWD held its latest session for new starters at Parfetts in Birmingham earlier in July with more than 40 supplier, wholesaler and service provider attendees
This event forms a key part of FWD’s Promoting Wholesale workstream and provides vital insight to those new to the sector and a broad overview of the wholesale channel and what it takes to be a success.
Some of the session’s key findings included: the importance of relationships; the need to understand wholesale and pass on that knowledge within your business; building brands in depot is important, but don’t forget the importance of online; there are three transaction zones to influence as a supplier: wholesaler, retailer, consumer, so think about how your product always needs to be sold twice, once to wholesalers, then in-depot to retailers.
