Sterling recruits new member

Buying co-operative Sterling Supergroup has announced that Leicestershire wholesaler Mason Foodservice has joined their membership

Having started out as a small fresh fish and poultry business more than 75 years ago, Mason Foodservice today serves the catering needs of Leicestershire companies with fresh bakery, ambient, chilled, and frozen goods, as well as cleaning products.

The business is now run by George Mason, grandson of founder Reg Mason. While at the helm, George has taken the company to the new heights, including a rebrand in 2019. Communicating the news, Daniel Larkin, chief commercial officer at Sterling Supergroup, says that the “forward-thinking business … has built a fantastic reputation for their quality service and excellence.”

Mason Foodservice’s wholesale delivery operations extend beyond Leicestershire, reaching Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Rutland and the West Midlands. Their customer base includes restaurants, schools, nursing homes, childcare centres, airports and sporting grounds/venues.
